CAPTAIN'S LOG / THE ONGOING JOURNEY
No finish line.
Still writing.
Some days hurt so much that even a small task feels like a mountain. Other days I get to the lake, enjoy my dogs, work on something creative, or laugh. The log needs room for all of it.
OUR EDITORIAL SERIES / FIRST CHAPTERS
A few recurring
ways to tell the truth.
These names began as part of the original Living Through the Pain editorial blueprint. They give us ways to write with honesty, humor and a little personality. The cards link to related pages already on the site; they are not dated journal entries or claims that an entire series has been published.

Did life give
something back?
A day can have severe pain and still contain a good conversation, a moment outside, or a reason to smile. The physical cost still matters. So does the experience itself.
HOW WE PROTECT THE ORIGINAL RECORD
The private log
stays private.
The original timeline, medical reports, sleep and pain measurements, source PDFs and daily notes are evidence to preserve—not material to dump into a public website. Entries are added here only when selected, fact-checked and approved for publication.
If an old memory and a dated original source disagree, we'll keep the distinction instead of silently rewriting history. We'll also make room for the truth of bad days, without turning every difficult moment into an inspirational lesson.
No personal journal database or raw sleep/pain measurements are exposed on this static Astro page. Future public entries will carry clear provenance and a separate review decision.
