LIVING THROUGH THE PAIN / MORE THAN A SYMPTOM

Life beyond
the pain.

The pain is part of my life. But so are the people I love, the work I care about, laughter, music and moments on the water. All of it deserves a place in the story.

MORE
THAN
10/10.

A pain score can describe something important. It cannot tell the whole story of a day—who I saw, what I managed, what the effort cost, or why I was glad I went.

EXPLORE / THE LIFE BETWEEN THE APPOINTMENTS

What matters outside the clinic.

Some articles tell a difficult part of the past. Others capture things worth protecting now. Here we make room for both.

RETURN ON PAIN / A WORKING IDEA

What made the day worth it?

Return on Pain (ROP) is our way of asking a different question alongside symptoms: What was possible, meaningful or restorative? Did I connect with someone? Did I get outdoors? What physical cost came afterward? Could an adaptation make the next experience easier?

ROP is a personal reflection framework, not a validated clinical score or evidence that a particular activity treats CRPS.

The goal isn't to pretend the pain isn't there.

It's to build a life in which pain isn't the only thing that gets measured. We keep the original history, the limitations, the tradeoffs and the good moments together.
